Coordinating power control (Växlande Effektreglering, VäxEl)
This project is developing interfaces and algorithms to test and verify buissinessmodels where different actors can cooperate to achieve an effective power managment.
In Uppland we have since 2014 been creating a smart grid where the villas helps out in the power management at peak situations. Now we expand the project with also incorporating energystorage, electric charging and solar production. This type of solutions is severly needed in the future of fully sustainable energy production in the grid and also to keep the system recilient and provide a stability in the future.
The project will through a cooperative software plattform enable test and verification of different business cases between the participants, aiming both to electricity whole sale and grid operators. To effectivelly control peak situations lead to energyefficiency. But perhaps even more it can lead to better utilazation and longterm equipment health to keep away from large investment situations.
Through practical installations of combinations of solar, charging, and storage togheter with enduser flexibility in heating systems to test togheter with actual villa owners do real testcases. Connecting the systems togheter in a standardised gives us an open software plattform that can be expanded to more actors and incorporate a strong innovation posibillity for new business models.
